My New Caribbean Coral Paint Job
« on: June 14, 2014, 05:23:59 PM »
Here the first look at my paint job. It absolutely stunning in the sun. I'll start next week detailing it out then start reassembly. Can't tell how thrilled I a with it. The photos don't do it justice.

Nice - great color on a great car. Here's a word of advice - be careful when you open the front doors; if you open them just  a little too far the front edge digs into the front fender and leaves a scratch! You see a lot of them that way.

What you say is true of the rear doors as well. I had to adjust the so that they would not rub the post. My trunk lid was a little high on the right side and I worked with it to correct it. There are two small sags that will need repairing before I can bring it home. I'm so very pleased with it. Can't wait to put the interior back in it.

I'd leave the sags in place...just like the factory did!

Seriously, it looks great!

The photos dot pick up the metallic in the paint. It is stunning to look at. I have all of the interior to go into it. I can tell you this, I will not pass myself on the road.

Yes. It is the correct color for this particular car according to the body tag and fender script.

I went through some old family movies made in 1949.  Here is my grandparents 1949 Kaiser.  Looks alot like mine.  I am going to post some moving pictures of my grandfather's KF Showroom later today and will post a link.  In addition to cars, you can pick up signs, posters and advertisements in the background.

Caribbean Coral is an amazing color. That's going to be one great looking car when you get it all back together. It looks pretty nice already I must say.
