6 volt + ground alternator insatallation
« on: August 30, 2014, 11:49:29 AM »
The alternator vendor recommended a 12 ga shunt on the ampmeter.  Ampmeter does not show current flow - that is "the needle" does not move. Any recommendations?  should I use a smaller ga wire shunt?

Recommending you shunt the ampmeter with a wire of any gauge identifies the person who recommends it as an #$%^*&%$.

If the gauge is shunted, it will read zero.
