I'm restoring a '51 Henry J 4 cylinder with a friend - his vehicle, purchased it from his uncle that purchased it new, stored for last 40 or so years. Fully disassembled, we're working through the engine and frame right now. Using POR15 products on the frame/suspension and have been able to find some of the colors in hidden or protected areas (like black frame paint under the plates for the rubber snubbers). But lots of surface rust has obscured history.
So, what is the collective wisdom on factory finish for:
Control Arms
Anti-Sway bar
Sway bar retainer clips
Tie rods, cross rod, pitman arm
Front coil springs
Rear leaf springs
Leaf shackles
Any help or advice much appreciated!
