Rear brake drum cross reference info

Here's an auction that interesting for the cross reference info listed, hopefully to source them elsewhere at a more reasonable price. I've seen the Scout info before, assumed the DJ3A was the same, never seen the truck or other DJ's crossed with Aero rears before.


9" by 2", 4 hole, 4 1/2" bolt circle rear drum.

Fits the following:

1961-1970 International Scout 4X2 80-800.

1952-1968 Willys and Jeep 4X2: 475 truck, Aero 675, Aero 685 6-226 pick-up, DJ3, DJ5 & DJ6

Glad I haven't sold any NOS drums that I have - I would've undersold them real bad. I will also store the crossover cars for the reference book.  Thanks for the eye-opener.

I wouldn't consider that price realistic without checking price & availability on the cross referenced vehicles.

From what I've seen the past few years, the fronts are a lot harder to find. They have a slightly different offset than the rears and any I saw listed in the past didn't have cross reference info listed.

Looks like you're rght. Been looking around, saw a couple on a Scout 80 site for well over $100, fronts for the 4x2 are 4 lug, oddly, rears are 5 lug.
This guy lists some DJ3A Century brand drums at $225 each. I don't recognize the front drum number but if they're right, that's the first NOS fronts I've seen in years.

I've seen DJ3A shoes that look the same but have 1 3/4" friction material instead of 2" the Aero takes.

One rear set  I disassembled from a parts car had three 2" shoes and one 1 3/4" shoe. They were nice vintage Bendix shoes with brass particles embedded in the material. I was going to re-use them till I saw that odd shoe. Ended up having my original set relined instead, still sitting on the shelf.
