Kaisers in the movies

Found another one. Last night TCM ran "A Millionaire For Christy" starring Fred MacMurray and Eleanor Parker. Caught this quick shot  of a '49/'50 Kaiser in the background as Fred is trying to make a fast get-away

I have a large book called "Twin Cities by Trolley" and on the cover behind the stopped streetcar
there is a '51 Kaiser parked at the curb. The cover is 10" by 12". Other cars in the picture of
about the same year look very outdated compared to the Kaiser.

I found another today. The 1953 movie "Bad For Each Other" shows Charlton Heston pulling up to an apartment in a dark colored '52 Kaiser. A few minutes later, it's shown pulling away.

Found another last night.  TCM Ran the movie "Executive Suite" from 1954.  Lots of great shots of old cars. Only one Kaiser, this '51, which looks like a Traveler based on the spacing of the rear bumper gaurds and what looks like a handle on the deck lid

In the tv series "In The Heat of the Night" , "Home is where the heart is" episode (originally aired 3/6/90}, the "madam" in the episode is driven off in a red '51 Kaiser in mint condition.  Her driver is shown polishing it earlier in the episode. 

In a subsequent episode where the madam returns to town, the car is discussed specifically as being put in a museum.

by the way, the car identified as a '53 with Tracey Lords' film is a '52 from front and side shots, though it does have a continental tire on the back and an unusual paint job.

For those of you interested, here's a sneak peak.  This is the car used in all kinds of movies and TV shows during the early 1950's for interior shots and certain types of static exterior shots.

That looks like the one that was used in "My Favorite Year" except that one was clearly a '51.  The one in "Cry Baby" is a '52 Manhattan. I remember seeing "Cry Baby" years ago, and seeing that car in it but that's the only thing worth remembering about it as I recall. It was not my cup of tea. But few of these movies are - I just watch them for the cars.

Looks like I may have to turn in my membership card!  It is of course a 1952 Kaiser Manhattan with a continental kit on it.  My bad!   
The only reason I had that movie in the first place is that on the version I have, it appears that the cast is photographed leaning on the nose of a Tucker which appears to have been painted a dark color, possibly black with orange flames on the side in the style of many '50's hot rods.  I wanted to see if this was a fantasy image or if the car was really in the movie in this paint scheme.  It isn't in the movie.  So I'm stuck with this movie, but since it has "our" car in it (and a Willys Aero, too, I think) I'll hang on to it.

MY FAVORITE YEAR uses another process prop.  The 1951 Kaiser front end is mounted on a dolly & stagehands push it through the fake wall of "Boss" Hyjack's office.  The unit is seen on its own during another part of the movie when the stage minus sets is used.

That two-toned Kaiser from "Cry Baby" was owned by a member (can't remember who) and it was at the Nashville National in 1994.

A Star Is Born, 1954, with Judy Garland, minute mark: 50:51. A Kaiser drives by and I can't tell if it's a '51 or '53. The taillights looked like a '51 but the color configuration looked like a Dragon with maroon paint and white top. It drives by too fast to tell.

I recently saw a '53 Kaiser in a "Kia-car/Loki-movie" television commercial. Not a movie but does that count?
