 We have two All Vinyl Dragon's. The Paint 099 Frosted Holly Green with Padded White Poplin-grained Canvas Top, has All Vinyl Interior, Trim 5312 : White Boucle on Green Bambu. You have that one.

Another would be Paint 106 Ivory with Green Bambu Padded Top, has All Vinyl Interior Trim 5311: Lt. Green Boucle on Green Bambu .

The Turquoise Lacquer Dragon has a Rust Colored Boucle padded Top.
You can study 1953 Dragons on Page 176 - 182 The Last Onslaught on Detroit by Richard Langworth.

I noticed you mentioned you had found 2 black/onxy Dragons so far.  But....I noticed in hunting around the forum that several years ago a black one was found in a northern junkyard too.  Very poor shape - dented roof to boot.  Not sure how this is accounted for in the registry but I know you are documenting these special cars and I'm quite impressed with the knowledge that you have accumulated and shared.

And....sounds like you have two cool Dragons to boot.  Very neat!

I have heard of that & think someone had a Picture. They was going to go back to check Paint,Trim,plate & vin.

We have the Dragon List started by Langworth & another K F Member Behnke. The Black Dragon's was the First 2 on the list. Both had the back Glass wiper.

They started the Dragon List to keep track of found & get a percentage of combinations made.
I passed the List to Hagen & hope All will help keep it updated.

I say if not on the list or on the list Your a Winner. You found a new one or You found one that didn't go to the crusher.

So the darker green is the Jade Green.      The "Mint" Green is Frosted Holly?  I think I would go with the Velvet Maroon.  It's a deeper richer color.  Understand these are only photos but that's better than what I had before.  Thanks Geoff.

Because Frosted Holly was rare and unique as an all vinyl Dragon, I figured that is the one I would consider but it looks like about a million other 50's cars with that color from all manufacturers.  In my opinion only (no disrespect to those who own Frosted Holly and as mentioned, it may pop better in person)

I forget till I look up something in Last Onslaught on Detroit Your Top is Rust Color Boucle?

The 999/888 was purchased by a KF collector in (I think) in Pennsylvania or Ohio. He put it on ebay and it sold. Unfortunately, it is back in the shadows and not sure where it is.

I would humbly disagree with that Google Photo link.  Jade Green in normal color charts is dark green (think of the gemstones Jade) while Holly Green is typically considered a unique color of a lighter green. 

Subject to data plate verification.  There are a lot of 1953 Kaisers in a close/similar paint code to Jade Green.  But I am perplexed by the roof covering.    I could be wrong, but I have never seen Jade Green be light like "Mint". 

Still it was a pleasure seeing those photos of Dragons. 

I wish we could have a sit down with Carleton Spencer.  He was one of the true geniuses behind art and color in the late 40's and 50's. 

I like Stardust Ivory, it's not that "bright" white we see today and the associating colors pop off that body.  Remember there was a Stardust Ivory Dragon on ebay buy/sell out of Dallas for about 2 years - 5 years ago.   I wonder where that one ended up.

As far as I know the Onyx Dragon is still at that silly project car yard off I70 in Missouri.  Going to Missouri next week but my family won't want to detour over that far.    That guy that owns that lot won't budge on prices, so I suppose it is still around $6500.

I have seen the ID plate on Geoffs subject Dragon and the paint code is 098 which is Jade Tint.  099 is listed as Frosted Holly Green.  We have a 1952 Manhattan with the dark green paint and the paint code, although not in front of me at the moment, brings us to tropical green metallic or jade green metallic - I just don't remember at this moment.  The difference noted should be the dark greens are 'metallic' in some listings, and the Dragon color code says 'Jade Tint' not Jade Green.
' Frosted Holly ' would imply a metallic look and Holly leaves are dark green.  The trim code on Geoff's subject Dragon is #5309.

I defer to the expertise of the club concerning colors - just posting info on Dragon colors so others can chime in.  Bob Dayton (ldladyvt here in the threads) discusses a recent acquistion of mine - he describes the color above in his post.

I also purchased the 999/888 from Randy Rutherford in Pennsylvania.  Both Dragons are coming to Florida.  Jack Mueller, Bob Dayton, Randy Rutherford, Dave Antram and Rudy Phillips have all help me better understand the history of Dragons and Kaiser in the past 3 years - and I love the cars.  I also write quite a bit of history on my Forgotten Fiberglass website (www.ForgottenFiberglass.com) including the early Darrin sports car - later called the Kaiser Darrin.  In this respect I've worked with Terry Trasatti and the Darrin family (Patrick and Bob), Alden Jewell, the Tritt family of Glasspar and others.

Lots of great people here sharing great information.  I'm just filling in the gaps and sharing what I've learned.  If putting together photo albums help as I've done with the Kaiser Dragon colors (above in thread) let me know.  Happy to help.

It is great to hear you purchased 999/888 and "will be" restoring that one.  I chased that for years and kept in touch with the Southern Illinois seller.  My issue with that car was timing. When I had money, his price went up. When I didn't have spare money, price went down and car got sold eventually. 

Many of the folks you mentioned are friends or acquaintances of mine.  One of those has the Frosted Holly Green and Velvet Maroon Dragons and I am sure you know who I am speaking of. 

Hey, I can be very wrong on these colors and as stated, ultimately Spencer did a great job matching colors/interiors and all Dragons are special, to most of us.
